I would like to know your opinion (mean to all, not just to Norm). Didn't you think that our conversion from Tengrianism to Islam or other foreign to us religion in some way caused to our sank. I mean that some of our Turanien values ware change by another one, that donít suet to us since they ware developed not by us and in some way contradicted to our values. For example in the past we donít slaughtered the animals in a brutal way as in Islam (wetting till the poor animal will die from bled losing) and see in this life as a main and not in the next. Thank you very mach, and excuse if I hurt some religious feeling. Baatar

Dear Burc, references to Kazim Mirsan on our site you can find at these links: sophistikatedkids.com/turkic/20Roots/ ZakievGenesis/ZakievGenesisLiteratureEn.htm , and sophistikatedkids.com/turkic/20Roots/ZakievGenesis/ZakievGenesis76-124En.htm. You may note that googling Kazim Mirsan brings a good harvest of 600 returns, but only 2 of them are in English, no wonder that his works are practically unknown outside of Turkey. Regards, Norm

Dear Wed 1 Feb 2006 anonimous, if the attribution of the Alans to the larger IRANIAN nations for you is a matter of faith, please disregard any facts you may face, including those found in the Turkicworld pages. You would find better doors to knock on for the matters of convictions, this site is more interested in facts and less in interpretations. Thanks, Norm

ALANS are of ARYAN origin, in the sense that they belong to the larger IRANIAN nations. They share a common history, culture, and language origins. So you should remove them from the list of Turcic populatio.
